What would you do if the internet disappears?

-Sure there would be a disaster since businesses and practically everyone is highly dependent on the internet for information, communication, and whatnot. Anyways, my question is what would YOU do as a normal person that uses the internet for things such as Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, etc. Personally I use the internet for mainly watching Animes and occasionally Facebook and those other stuff. But what if one day the internet just disappears? All those times and hours you've spent browsing everyday would be redirected at what? What would you be doing instead? The reason I'm asking is purely out of curiosity, it is 2:51 in the morning right now so I'm probably just bored. Anyways I'm curious.I would hate not being connected with the rest of the world as I am so used to it now. I live in New Zealand, and we were without internet for six days following the earthquakes we had, which made the whole experience even more scary and made us feel very isolated. It was a great feeling when we got the internet back and we could 'go' to other places around the world and see that it wasn't just us in New Zealand; the rest of the world was still moving and operating as usual. Really helped us get back into a stable peace of mind.



Although if the internet dissapeared I would be saving a lot of time by not going on Facebook and such.



But it would also make life slow down - quickly checking email, internet banking, Googling something... the fast pace of the world today could not be possible without the internet.



(Personally, I can't see how people lived without the internet anymore... I'm only 17; the generation that grew up with the starting of personal computers).



Interesting question... good thing to ponder.i would play single player games and not multiplayer... maybe actually send a letter to a friend in the army and not facebook them haha

and @ Nasran, you are missing the point. he is asking if the internet actually did not exist for everyone in the world and no one could use it anymore. then what would you do, instead of answering questions on yahoo
I'd be able to live w/o the internet.A lot of the sites mentioned above,I don't even use.I have actually dropped the internet for long lengths of time & it never bothered me.
Restart your computer and check whether the wires are connected or not.
I'd start living again.
