What kind of pickups could i put in a thunderbird bass guitar to give it more of a punchy sound?

-Do you have the Gibson or Epiphone model? The Gibsons are about as good as they're going to get. You could add an active EQ to the instrument (like from EMG) to give you more control over the sound.



Gibson will not sell you replacement pickups for the Epiphone. The only aftermarket replacement I'm aware of is made by Bartonlini, the T4CBC.
