How to begin a story that will catch one's eye?

-I'm writing a novel (book, story, whatever) about a young adult with bipolar disorder. She's going to be very aggressive, but also very friendly. Both of her parents are dead, and now she lives with her adopted mother and brother. I want to start it with her in a mental hospital, but I'm not sure how. Any thoughts?

Thanks,

xoxowell... u cud start it with " it seemed like ages scince the first rays of the sun had twinkled in my eyes.how long had i been unconcious? a day or two?, or probably ages?...as i was pondering upon this thought...i...." watever.. and so on.
Use a hook for ex. Question feelings conversions a fact it really depends on the genre
